Gator Bio is a pre-IPO bioanalytical technology company located in Palo Alto, CA. We are creating innovative technologies to solve difficult problems facing today’s biopharma industry. We develop, manufacture and sell instruments, biosensors, reagents, and consumables for antibody, gene and cell therapy development.

Gator Bio’s current product portfolio includes bio-layer interferometry (BLI) systems using optic fiber biosensors.
We have an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager based in Boston, Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in covering the New England life science accounts and markets including biotech, pharmaceutical, and academia with 5+ years of capital equipment instrument and consumable sales experience. Previous experience working with ELISA, SPR, BLI, or other related label-free techniques is a plus. The candidate must be a self-motivated, sales-driven individual with an excellent sales track record and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a strategy in developing new business opportunities within the Life Science/Pharmaceutical accounts.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly/yearly sales quota.
  • Forecast orders and update sales activities within CRM.
  • Create a business plan for territory success.
  • Build strong business relationships and formulate account strategies to develop, implement, and maintain growth.
  • Develop and maintain a network of KOLs within the territory.
  • Effectively communicate and discuss product technology, applications, benefits, and value proposition statements.
  • Partner with internal teams including Marketing, Field Application Scientist (FAS), and the Service team members to arrange product demonstrations, lunch & learns, workshops, and post-sales support.
  • Develop and maintain technical competency.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Ensure customer success for all accounts.
  • Attend trade shows, user group meetings, and virtual events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BS in Life Sciences.
  • 3-5 years of life science capital equipment sales experience.
  • Expertise in Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) or Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) products preferred.
  • Sales-driven and customer-centric individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels.
  • Innovation, creativity, and persuasiveness.
  • Experience successfully meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience creating and executing sales territory plan with focus on long-term relationships.
  • Must reside within the territory and be able to travel 40%, including overnight travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC or other related CRM sales funnel tools.
